There are not so many books which are able to really touch myself. The first time I experienced that while I was reading Paulo Coelho, but John Strelecky is quite good at that as well. A few months ago I wrote about the first part of the story, today is the second part.
As I don't want to spoil, I only write about my thoughts concerning the book.

Like the café itself seems to be at the right place when needed, Strelecky always gives me the answers I need at the moment. Of course I recognized that I changed a lot during the last months, but these changes seem to vanish again and I forget the lessons I learned.
Meanwhile I guess my purpose of existence and try to work on that. No, I'm not going to tell you since a psychology student once told me, that goals become unreachable when you tell to many people.
After not even 24h I finished the book - I definitely admire Strelecky for being able to write books which change my thoughts. Partly I feel like the protagonist, but I simply forgot the lessons the first book taught me. Since I finished it, I recognized that my attitude changed, it became more positive. It reminds me of some situations a few months ago when I was walking through the city, simply smiling for no reason. That's what I felt today.
Strelecky is giving some seminars in Germany that help you finding your purpose of existence and/or to find your Big Five For Life. Unfortunately they are quite expensive (about 200-1500€) but I'm sure it's worth to safe money for that!

Was bringt mir denn schon ein voller Kleiderschrank?
I recently read the book The Why Café by John Strelecky. It is written very simple and easy to understand, the story itself also includes nothing particularly new: a man lost and found in the cafe again, there he is confronted with the fundamental questions of life.
Why are you here?
Are you afraid of death?
Are you fulfilled?
Until then, nothing unusual, if you are not getting into the questions, you will find the book probably boring. I've also read some reviews, but can not understand why the book is often rated very poor.
There's no easier way to get people to deal with these issues.
I must admit, I have not yet answered the questions, perhaps best with the second one.
It strikes me time and again that many people just live, have no real goal or goals to limit material things such as houses or cars. When I think about it I often wonder: can this be everything? Should be the meaning of my life that I'm studying, with good luck earn a lot of money, have a big house and a sports car? I think we often forget that money limits our lives. In order to finance my house, my car and my family, I have to work a lot. To work long. Afraid of unemployment. I'll probably miss key moments in the life of my children, because I have to work. Should I have the "luck" to have a man who earns a lot of money, I will not have much of him. As a single breadwinner, he will have to work even more, we will see only in the evening to go to sleep. And again I wonder: can all these things be everything?
Many people are dependent on money. "With more money I can buy this and that", "If I had more money to spend, I'd be happier." But if one goes deep into yourself, you realize perhaps that happiness does not depend on money. Or the house, or a car.
Meanwhile, I have found that money is completely unimportant. All year long working for a 2-week all-inclusive vacation? I do not need it. A fast car, that makes all the other people jealous? I do not need it. A designer handbag? I do not need that as well. Who defines itself through such status symbols, is hiding from himself. I think those people do not realize how great they are internally.
One of the major themes in the book is to find his personal ZDE, the purpose of existence. (-> Why are you here?) Of course, you get the book in any guide on how to best tackle this difficult task. I'll make this year to look for my ZDE, starting with a two-month trip to Asia in February. I am convinced that you get to know yourself better and can put your priorities in life better, if you are not distracted by so many things is, as it is the case at home. Here I have to study, go the way work, shop, keep my apartment clean, etc. That does not leave much time to think about your own life, the desires or dreams. Because let's face it, very few people take this time. It's also easier to find excuses when things really tackle.
My plans for this year are in any case that I will meditate at least 10 minutes every day. Time off my head, enjoying the peace. I would be grateful for the little things in life. I want as much as possible cut back my material desires. What is a full closet worth? Basically nothing. I want to finally feel comfortable in my apartment, as long as there is chaos, will always be inside of me Chaos.
I just want to be a little better every day, give the world back what it gives me: Unconditional love .
